2 May 2020 media recourses of theRoscongress Foundation start hosting Songs of Victory, an online marathon
concert. Over the first week of May, Russias popular musicians will present their
one-of-a-kind at-home performances. The online marathon concert will mark the
75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and will
conclude on the Victory Day. This project will involve famous theatre and film actors,
bands, singers, and TV personalities. Each participant will present a war song:
renowned ballads and marches, as well as legendary songs from Soviet films
familiar to everyone in this country.

exciting performers and cultural figures. Today, in this peaceful, but complicated
time it becomes even more important to stick together, support each other, and

of hardship and in peaceful time. I am sure that a lot of viewers will enjoy our

On 2 May, Roscongress will show performances
of Yulia Zhdankova, the lead singer of the Rossiya Ensemble with a legendary song
Valenki, Denis Klyaver who will sing Ballada O Kraskakh, and Merited
Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Sarukhanov. The programme of 3 May will offer
Dmitry Koldun a singer form Belarus with a song Ot Geroyev Bylykh Vremen
from the film Officers, Masha Veber with Katyusha the
unofficial anthem of the Great Patriotic War, and TV personality and public
figure Oksana Pushkina. On 4 May, the audience will enjoy Alexander Marshal
with the Tyomnaya Noch, Madina Kvaratskheliya, and Izumrud band. On 5 May,
Roscongress will show Merited Artist of the Russian Federation Alexander Oleshko,
Peoples Artist of the Chechen Republic Sogdiana who will perform Siniy
Platochek, Peoples Artist of the Russian Federation and the Bolshoi
Theatres lead singer Irina Dolzhenko, and Konstantin Grim, the lead singer of
the Bratya Grim band. On 6 May, Uma2rman
will perform Sluchainy Vals, a song from 1943, plus perfomances from the
lead singer of Reflex Irina Nelson, and Zhuliki band. On 7 May, the concert will
involve Helikon-Opera lead singer Dmitry Yankovsky, vocalist of the Marffa band
Tatyana Inyushina, and lead singer of the Kombinatsiya band Tatyana Ivanova
with a popular song Na Bezymyannoy Vysote from the film Silence.
On 8 May, the audience will enjoy the legendary Samotsvety, Margarita
Sukhankina from Mirazh, and the famous Pesnyary from Belorus.
On 9 May, the marathon concert will offer the
leader of Neschastny Sluchay Alexey Kortnev, Merited Artist of the Russian Federation
Zara, and Alexander Oleshko. The project will conclude with a gala that will involve
all the participants.

sponsor. 9 May on the Victory Day the first episode Childrens Book of War will
premiere. The contemporary styled animated film is part of the series based on
kids wartime diaries that AiF published in 2015. The first episode, centred on
Tanya Rudykovskaya, a resident of the besieged Leningrad, is voiced by Tatyana
Vasilyeva. School children from the town of Megion (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous
District) will read the diary excerpts written by their peers from the Childrens
Book of War.
Additionally, the programme will feature
performances by Darya Davydova, Bolshois Invited Soloist, tenor Dmitry
Galikhin, Oksana Fyodorova, and numerous greetings from various artists and
politicians.
The launch day of the marathon concert is
not a coincidence. Commemorative concerts are traditional for the Victory Day.
On 2 May 1945, Lidiya Ruslanova gave a performance on the stairs of the torn
apart Reichstag in Berlin. She sang her famous songs up until late in the night
and received an order from the chest of Marshal Georgy Zhukov.
