Russian-Chinese investment cooperation in Far East discussed at EEF visiting session
A visiting session under the auspices of the Eastern Economic Forum titled ‘Russia–China Investment Partnership in the Russian Far East: First Success Stories’ was held on 15 June in Harbin (China) as part of the 4thRussian-Chinese Expo.
The event was organized by the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Far East Investment and Export Agency, the Roscongress Foundation, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, and the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province.
Far East Investment and Export Agency General Director Leonid Petukhov, Far Eastern Auction Fish House General Director Sergei Lelyukhin, Sirius Holding Chairman of the Board of Directors and President Tao Zhan, Russian-Chinese Innovative Agro-Industrial Complex President Li Demin, Council for the Promotion of International Trade of Heilongjiang Province Chairman E Zhongqi, representatives of the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, and Chinese business leaders took part in the session.
“Russia and China are long-standing partners and friends. We urge our Chinese partners to not only sell their goods on the territory of the Russian Federation, but to also manufacture them in the Far East, where such unique tools for supporting business as the advanced special economic zones and the Free Port of Vladivostok have been created. The establishment of a support centre for Chinese investors in the Far East has already been agreed”, Far East Investment and Export Agency General Director Leonid Petukhov said.
