Russian Creativity Week
About

The results of the first Russian Creativity Week in September 2020 revealed the creative community’s growing demand for a cycle of satellite events throughout the year and the need to expand the business agenda and attract a wide range of foreign industry representatives, Russian and foreign officials, and public opinion leaders. With this goal in mind, the Creative Business Forum is slated to become a part of the Roscongress Foundation’s forums.

The unique interactive format of the Creative Business Forum will bring together creative visionaries, business representatives, and government officials to discuss key issues facing the creative economy.

At SPIEF 2021, the theme of the Creative Business Forum will be ‘Creative economy in our new reality’.

The forum will be held on the opening day of the SPIEF business programme and on a thematic discussion platform on the main days of the forum. Key discussion themes include: creating favourable conditions for the sector as a driver of the country’s economic development, growth points in the regions, education, human capital, producing young talent, the impact of digitalization on the cultural sector, the role of women in the creative economy, and the protection of intellectual property.

As such, the development of creative industries will be seen as an essential component of the social agenda that affects people’s self-awareness and quality of life.

The first Russian Creativity Week Festival and Forum in 2020 laid the foundations for the further favourable development of creative industries in Russia. The Creative Business Forum was presented as new format for creative industries for the first time at the event. Global leaders in the creative sector were involved in shaping the programme of the festival and forum. Cooperation was established with such major international venues as: INTERNI Designer’s Week Milano, Design Miami, La Biennale di Venezia, Art Basel, and Belgrade Design Week. More than 250,000 people attended the events of the Russian Creativity Week, while online broadcasts generated over 6 million views.

Creative Business Forum is organized by Innosocium Foundation, Social platform of Roscongress Foundation (innosocium.org).
