Leading enterprises from the Russian military-industrial complex will present their latest technologies at the exhibition of the RussiaAfrica Economic Forum.
Russian Helicopters Holding will present its modernized Mi-35P transport and combat helicopter at the RussiaAfrica Economic Forum. The modified helicopter is equipped with a modernized target sighting system, a high-resolution colour television camera, and a laser range finder. The helicopter also features a new digital flight simulator, which has improved its manoeuvrability and stability, and automated the piloting process. The modern systems on the Mi-35P have enhanced its combat effectiveness and durability and ensured the helicopter can be used round the clock in ordinary and difficult weather conditions.
Military Industrial Company LLC (VPK) will present two full-scale prototypes of its next generation armoured vehicles at the RussiaAfrica Forum.
One of them is the VPK-URAL multi-purpose armoured vehicle with 4×4 axle configuration. The vehicle is designed to transport personnel and military cargo with the requisite level of protection, install weapons systems and special equipment, and also tow trailer systems. The VPK-URAL armoured vehicle can carry 12 people, including the driver, in a single-compartment armoured shell while providing two levels of ballistic protection per the STANAG 4569 agreement. The vehicles spacious internal armour volume, high manoeuvrability, and security facilitates the use of the VPK-URAL as a base for the installation of various equipment and its use as a repair and maintenance vehicle, a command vehicle, or an armoured medical vehicle, among other things.
Another exhibit that VPK will present at the Forum is a version of the Tiger VPK-233136 special armoured vehicle with a five-door armoured shell and additional options. The Tiger armoured vehicle that will be presented is designed to transport 9 people and is equipped with comfortable chairs. Its hull nose and bodywork have been remodelled. The vehicle has been given modern LED auto-optics and is also equipped with an LED infrared spotlight.
The Avtomatika Concern specializes in the manufacturing of information security products and services, development and production of technical means and systems of secure communication, information and telecommunication, as well as special-purpose automated control systems. The Forum guests will have a chance to view the portable anti-UAV systems Pishchal-PRO, Kupol-PRO (left), and Luch-PRO (right).
A vehicle from the Typhoon family will be presented at the companys booth. The Typhoon K 53949 is already well known to customers and has received numerous positive reviews from military officials. This vehicles competitive advantages versus other similar offerings on the offers are its anti-mine and anti-ballistic protection. The main objective is to save the life of the crew should the vehicle hit an anti-tank mine or during shelling.
Another serious advantage of the Typhoon family with its 4×4 wheel configuration is the unification of the main units and the undercarriage systems, which allows for creating various modifications based on the Typhoon K 53949. At present, two modifications based on the Typhoon are ready a mine exploder and a surveillance vehicle.
The Linza armoured medical vehicle with a two-seat cabin and a module for transporting the wounded was launched on the same K-53949 undercarriage. Testing has now been completed on the vehicle.
